Passions and goals:
Hello Everyone! My name is Sophia Martinez. I am a daughter, sister, and friend. Like many of you, I have a passion for language, music, and art. From my youth, I have spent many hours playing the cello and the piano. Beginning in June of 2018 my brother along with me opened ourselves up to learning to speak, read, and write Vietnamese. My wish is to extend opportunities to those who need it the most including underserved communities. I strongly feel that everyone deserves a chance to learn English, the most widely spoken language in the world. Further, I enjoy teaching as many people as possible the concept of Life Planning as an important discovery process securing a bright future. Among many goals, I strive to never become complacent. With a hunger for learning, my hope is to continue to always grow in knowledge, striving to be the best version of myself.

Skill set and expertise:
I am friendly, personable, and good about following through with matters. In October 2021, I joined a SEC RIA firm as the firm’s Financial Planning Coordinator. Later, in February of 2022 I began working as a Legal Assistant to Thomas Mason, Esq. As a legal assistant, I handle client intake and coordination, document preparation, and administrative tasks. Accomplishing all assigned tasks in a timely manner is of great importance to me. I am also very organized.
I have done volunteer service work since childhood and have spent thousands of hours assisting a Non-Profit Organization with Local Design Construction and Bible Education. In addition to volunteer service, I have experience speaking and working with people from all walks of life.
Education:
I graduated from the University of Science, Arts and Technology as well as The Canadian/American Institute of English & Applied Neuroscience with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Education and a minor in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). In addition, I am currently pursuing my certified paralegal advanced certificate through the Center for Legal Studies.
